Louise Bourgeois

I find Louise Bourgeois’ work to fit under the category of a Temporary Autonomous Zone because she approached personal subjects such as her family and sexuality in a time where it was not common or even socially acceptable for many women to do so.  Louise breaks the typical boundaries for women artists in the early 20th century. Often in many of her installations she creates an atmosphere for the viewer to experience and I thought these made “zones”  could be thought of as a TAZ.
