So these were drawings I thought related to how our memories or perception of the world change over time. Of course we know these things to be false today, but when you’re a kid everything is so different. You find new explanations for the mundane.
This is work in progress that is something artists might want to leave behind for the next 10,000 years. The idea of repurposing a deserted space to make a greater impression on the world is not a goal only of The Long Now foundation.
This was interesting to me because it gave people the ability to be in a place, separate from where they are. It’s an idea that might be something to translate across decades. It’s also an example of things we value in art or society. The masterpiece of the Sistine Chapel is about storytelling itself, it’d be interesting to translate this into a modern terms.
